Supporting a child with a Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder can present many challenges for professionals and parents. It is vital for everyone who supports them to understand the brain based aspect of this diagnosis and how to use neuro-behavioral strategies with children. Join us for this second session in our three part series as we strive to better understand how our children’s brains work, and discuss strategies to help them become more successful and reduce frustration. Presenter Barbara Clark graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.A. in Youth Studies, Sociology and English. She has 25 years of experience working with at-risk youth in public schools and non-profits. She served as Youth Development Manager for the Bloomington Public Schools and as Youth Initiatives Director at the National Youth Leadership Council. She is the adoptive mother of 4, including a child with FASD. Please visit www.formefamiliesforward.org to learn more about the rest of this series.
