* FASD Webinar #1- The Invisible Disability: Understanding and Identifying Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders
January 16 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm EST
The identification, diagnosis and treatment of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) can be a complicated process for families and professionals alike. On this Formed Families Forward webinar, David Perry, LCSW, will discuss the current diagnostic tools and criteria available to identify children and adults with FASD. He will present the latest trends in treatment and how best to support a loved one who has been diagnosed. FASDs are a range of effects that can occur when a developing fetus is prenatally exposed to alcohol. FASD can include physical disabilities as well as difficulties with behavior and learning. These conditions are lifelong and irreversible, and there is no cure.
